Travel Protection
Travel Protection is for the unforeseen and unexpected. When you book your vacation, you have every intention of going, and you certainly don't expect to have any medical emergencies while you're away from home. But sometimes things beyond your control come up causing your need to cancel or interrupt your trip, or see a doctor while on vacation. If you do not have travel protection, medical emergencies can cost thousands and yes, even into millions of dollars. Like any insurance policy, it is something you hope you'll never have to use, but will be glad to have if you need it.

I am licensed in Nova Scotia to sell Manulife Travel Insurance, and for the peace of mind of both myself and my clients I require a purchase of travel protection with all bookings. Manulife Travel Insurance offers assistance 24/7. We'll discuss which plan will be best for your needs.
If you do not reside in Nova Scotia I can absolutely book your travel, but cannot issue your insurance policy. However, you can get a free quote and purchase a policy through the link provided below. First, here is a brief summary of some popular options:

PREMIUM PROTECTION PLAN*
Absolutely the best value if you are under age 75, and typically what I recommend to all my clients. This policy includes trip cancellation (including a Cancel For Any Reason** benefit), trip interruption, emergency medical up to $10 million, coverage for baggage loss, damange, or delay, and flight or travel accident coverage. The Premium Protection Plan has fewer exclusions than other policies with less of a premium. What's the catch? It has to be purchased within 72 hours of booking your travel, and the maximum age 74. The maximum trip length for this policy is 30 days.

ALL INCLUSIVE PLAN*
The All Inclusive Plan is a package similar to the Premium Protection Plan, but it does have more limitations and exclusions, and the premium is higher. There is no age limit for this policy and no medical questionnaire is required.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL*
If you don't qualify for the Premium Protection Plan due to age but are in excellent health, you may get a lower premium than the All Inclusive Plan by filling out the medical questionnaire and purchasing your Emergency Medical and Trip Cancellation/Trip Interruption separately.

ANNUAL MEDICAL*
This is a great option if you travel multiple times per year. You can get an annual medical plan then purchase your Cancellation/Trip Interruption as needed. There is also an Annual All Inclusive Policy available.

* This is a brief summary only, please read the policy carefully to be aware of all benefits, limitations and exclusions, stability requirements, etc.
**Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) allows you to get a percentage of your money back in the event that you have to cancel your trip for a reason that is not covered by your policy. The All Inclusive plan's CFAR benefit is only applicable if the policy is purchased within 72 hours of booking your travel.
